Mr.Mertz seemed to be a great guy and he showed us some of the more causual day to day processes and exploits of an engineer were as others were only showing us the most fantastic things within the job. So while the other guest speaker tried to recruit us he just showed us how we would work day to day

I thought it was interesnting to listen to Mr. Wertz', um...Presentation... The place that he went were really interestin', though he talked more about the places he went instead of the actual engineering part in my mind...Oh well *shrugs* Anyway, he seemed to be really passionate about what he wastalking about, which is always a plus when people have a job.

I thought that the guest speaker had some good things to say. he wasn't as exciting as the first speaker, however. I thought that it would have been better if he had a more structured presentation to present and didn't just tell us stories the whole time.

He seemed very nice and explained a lot about what he does with his job. He was very informative about the types of things he has experience. It sounded fun and interesting to do the type of engineering that he does because he gets to go out and see the product work, and he also gets to see the world.

Mr. Mertz showed us that en gineering isnt jsut sitting in a cubical in a room all day working at a computer. He showed that even being an engineer you can get out n travel n have fun with your job. And its not jsut boringness of a cubical all the time.

The guest speaker yesterday was entertaining. It was nice to hear how we would be working day to day. Seems like a lot of work in comparison to what I thought it would be. The overseas job seemed fun as well.

I enjoyed Mr. Mertz's presentation, he was very laid back and made his career sound interesting and appealing. The places he got to travel to were really neat, and it made engineering even more appealing. I could tell he loves what he does and liked how he made a point of: with an engineering degree you can do anything.

Mr. Mertz gave a pretty good presentation. It was cool to see all the different places he gets to travel to and all the cool things he says. That was a nice alternative to being in a cubicle. However, he didn't touch on as much of the actual engineering aspect of his job, which might have been a nice addition.

Mr.Mertz was an interesting person to have as a guest speaker. not only did he talk about his job but he made it interesting by talking about the places he has visited through his job. He doesn't sit in a cubicle all day that made it more fun

Well, you see everybody, that Mr. Wertz was quite the character. His colorful and entertaining jokes kept me on the edge of my seat during the duration of his talk. His elaborate and breathtaking experiences pierced my heart and my soul. He made us feel vulnerable at times and delicate at others. I have been truly blessed by being given the opportunity to hear from another engineer by trade and his everyday life. Although his training was exquisite, I do not believe that radar is for me. I plan on entering another field of engineering that better suits my intrests and abilities, such as aerosapace engineering. In conclusion, I enjoyed his visit and am glad to hear more about the life of an engineer and what perhaps awaits in my near future.

Mr. Mertz was a great speaker. He showed us how diverse and fun being an engineer could be. His stories about Thailand really sparked intrests in any field of engineering even if alot of his job is writing software. looking forward to next guest speaker
