I though that he was a very interesting person. I enjoyed his presentation and how he showed how he is. Although he didn't change my perspective on engineering but he did increase my want to become a engineering. I enjoyed how he showed the aspects of engineering including travel. Though I may not go into arospace, i will look to it as something I might enjoy.

Mr Mertz gave me a lot of useful knowledge on what it means to be a radar engineer. I now no longer deeply wonder how a radar operates. Aquiring this knowledge will be useful in the future. I also enjoyed the plethera of interesting stories he told even though I had to hear them twice.
It just made me an expert on the subject.

Love, colby

Mr. Mertz was a very interesting individual with many intriguing stories to share. I never knew that engineers would have to travel so much. I previously thought that they worked at a desk all day. His various business ventures to different countries were quite eye opening to me. I really enjoy foreign language and never thought that I would utilize it in the engineering field.

I really enjoyed the fact that Mr. Wertz took time out of his day to come and speek with us. I got to learn a little bit more about the field of enginering. I learned that no matter the what field you are in you are going to be traveling around the world to a lot of places. I also thought that it was really cool to learn about how radars work.

Mr.Mertz seemed to be a great guy and he showed us some of the more causual day to day processes and exploits of an engineer were as others were only showing us the most fantastic things within the job. So while the other guest speaker tried to recruit us he just showed us how we would work day to day

Mr Mertz was an informative speaker that explained a lot of things about radars and how engineering is used worldwide that I didn't understand before he came in. I thought he had effective speaking skills and a great personality, but I found that he drifted off in to random stories irrelevant to the presentation. Not saying the stories weren't interesting, just irrelevant. And finally at the end of the period once the interesting visuals were being presented, class ended. Altogether, I left with an enhanced knowledge about engineering to keep in mind about my future career.

I thought that Mr. Mertz was very insightful on the life and career of a radar engineer. I've come to learn that engineers aren't stuck in a cubicle all day and have the oppurtunity to travel the world on various projects. This speaker has helped my decision on whether or not I want to be a engineer

Mr Mertz is a very good speaker. He taught me a lot about radars and how they work and how they relate to his field of engineering. I also found it interesting that he has traveled all aroung the world, is polylingual, and can successfully perform his job in other countries. Some of his stories were kind of whack but it is useful information about the culture change worldwide.

It was a privelage to have Mr. Mertz come in and talk to us during class. I enjoyed hearing about his adventures in the life and career of a radar engineer. What I found especially interesting were all the things he had to face and go through during his travels to different coutries. I've always wanted to visit China and it was interesting hearing his opinion on the culture and tradition.
